Harty Gardner retired as treasurer after an almost 35-year career with Mobil Corporation. While there, he oversaw financial operations for the company as a whole and its North American, European and Latin American divisions. He has served as director to several energy companies, including Pioneer Natural Resources Company currently where he chairs the audit committee. Previously he served on Manufacturer's Hanover/Chemical Bank's Advisory Board for 15 years.

He is a past chairman of Financial Executives International and is active in several nonprofit organizations. The former Air Force captain holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
